Supporting Families through Challenging Times

Practical, systemic support for families navigating separation, conflict, or crisis

Families are not what we see on the ads. They can be complex, messy and challenging. You might be going through a high-conflict separation, making it difficult to put the children first. Perhaps you have a young person refusing school and isolating. You've recently had a diagnosis like autism or ADHD and you're struggling to know what comes next. Or you're navigating blended or step-family difficulties, or an adoption that hasn't turned out quite how you planned.Whatever your challenges, I'm here to support you through them, with kindness and personal experience alongside professional wisdom. As a qualified social worker, I have years of experience working with children and families, and I've raised four of my own too. It's hard to accept help when we're taught to handle it all alone. But the right support can change things, not just for your child, but for the whole family.Find out if my support could work for you by booking a quick call.

WORK WITH ME

My tailored packages of support are created alongside the families I work with, meaning that from the start you're empowered to make your own decisions for your own family. We start with an initial consultation session during which we look at your family history and current challenges, and what you would like resolved. From there we will make a plan of work that reflects the outcomes you hope to achieve. My work complements the work of legal and mediation professionals, with a focus on the emotional and relational aspects of a family and my aim is to help families communicate more effectively, understand their challenges, and move forward constructively.I use a broad range of strategies to support you and your family which may include emotional and relationship support, Family Group Conference, Non-Violent Resistance, breath work and somatic techniques for anxiety relief, adapting my approach to the specific needs of each family. If you need additional support or support that I am unable to provide, I work with a team of highly qualified and experienced associates.Because every family is different, the support is different.

Don't feel you have to struggle alone. Book an initial call with me to see how family consultancy could work for you

There's no such thing as a 'normal' family. All families are different, with different histories, values and ways of being. Your family may not have turned out how you thought it would, but it's yours. Whatever you're facing, you don't need to do it alone.
